A hazed blonde ale with a thick white head. In aroma, a sweet spiced malt with orange pulp, a bit of chalk. In mouth, a sweet fruity malt with powdery talcum, green hops, light signs of oxidation, Tasted at GRM’s tasting.

-------------update Aug 2014---------------Saison DuPont Dry Hopping 2014: On tap at Bakujun, 1296 yen for 284ml. Served in the appropriate glassware and I am pretty sure this is the only place in town that does that... A completely opaque honey gold with a good cm of creamy off-white foam that lingers. Great aroma of saison spice + funk, sweet bread & light citrus. Nice light refreshing body - creamy with an energizing carbonation. This is simply delicious: spice, funk, some Brett, light citrus, wheat a touch of cloves in the finish. Really nice stuff, I made the right call ordering this. -------old rating Jan 2013----------------Some generous people at Craft Beer Base shared this with me! It is quite possibly my first saison. A cloudy beer with good lacing and an inch head of foam. It started off a bit acidic and spicy, pretty good maybe a 3.25 but after warming up some sweet fruity notes started to come through and helped push up it’s score. Be sure to serve at the right temperature!

On tap @ Animal. Golden colour with a white head, medium lasting and nice lacing. Aroma has belgium yeast notes, fruity and citrus. Flavor is slightly alcoholic, yeasty, fresh. Dry final, bittery with a good duration. Carbonation and body are medium.

Bottle from Systembolaget, 1,5 liter, vintage 2012. Hazy golden with a large white head. Easy to drink with hay, fruit, hops and some notes of yeast. Also something that reminded of "tutti-frutti". A pleasant one.

(Draught at Café Rose Red, Brugge, 17 July 2012) Hazy golden colour with frothy, white head. Malty, hoppy nose with notes of grass, hay, citrus and hints of yeast. Malty, hoppy taste with bread, grass, citrus, hints of yeast and a fresh, grassy bitterness in the finish. Medium body, quite dry. As expected, a very nice beer with a fresh and tasty hop profile.

Tap @ ’t Antwaerps Bierhuiske. Cloudy dark yellow appearance with a cream white head. Very nice floral, dandelion, grassy/straw, a bit zesty/spicy aroma. Starts out fairly dry and sweetens a bit further on. Straw, hay, floral, light citrusy, somewhat earthy, zippy, herbal flavor. Quaffable but I think I prefer the normal version based on this one taste. (4.1) Update: Bottle tasted back in good ol’ Colorado and it is quite delicious. (4.3)

2012 issue, on tap @ Beer Temple (go figure). Pale blond color, yeasty. White head. Aroma: not very strong, but typical Dupont, yeasty, bit sweet, fruity, hop-aromatic, bit grassy. Flavor is medium bitter with a malty sweet backbone and a hint of acidity. Medium bodied. Finishes (eventually) with a firm, pleasant bitterness. I like the regular SD better, but maybe I should try the bottled version .

Syrlig och frisk, lättsam, sparsmakad på bubblor. Smak och doft av gräs, örter, citron, lime, jäst, lite pepprig och karamellig med ton av banan. Frisk, torr, lagom sötma, fin beska. Mycket gott! 3,6p -6/5/2012
