On tap at Christian Firtal Pale Ale Festival. Cloudy orange to golden with a lasting and creamy white head. Aroma of spicy yeast, some wheat and cookies, plenty of grassy and herbal hops. Dry grassy hop flavour and plenty bitterness, with a nic e spicy complexity. Tasted side-by-side it’s clearly hioppier than regular Dupont

Cloudy orange beer, white creamy head, bit stable and adhesive. Aroma: marijuana upon opening and pouring, very much like the Avec Les Bons Voeux. Then citrus aromas, grapefruits, yeast note, little malty. MF: good carbon, light to medium body. Taste: fruity and a lot of hops, very citrussy, malts, honey, spices. Aftertaste: dry bitter, citrus, bit peppery. Very nice brew.

draft @ Moeder Lambic. dorée paille bruleuse, col épais blanc. Arôme citronné qui reste prononcé le tout ayant ce profile de saison belge, herbeuse et qui est malheureusement dominé par le dry-hopping. En bouche, expérience similaire, palais fruité, amer allant sur abricot sec avec note de citron et de levure. Ci et là, je note aussi fruits tropicaux le tout avec une once d’épice. Malt reste léger allant sur la malt pale, et le fini est quant à lui un peu réduit au silence par le dry-hopping qui tend à donner la part belle des choses au houblon. On y reconnaît tout de même une saison solide dont Dupont à le don de nous offrir.

Draught Medium, very dense and persistent yellow-tinted head, leaving classical lacerings over hazy orange beer with a mossy sheen. Hoppower - if a bit fleetingly - with white candi sugar, and very yeasty esters. Hoppresence very clear - but no USA hops, mind you, not citrussy at all. Fresh cucumber flavour, as well as wheaty grain, and mild fruitacids in the finish. Extremely refreshing, well-carbonated, light to medium body. Misses however, a bit of maturing, compared to the classical Saison on bottle. Hops indeed more to the fore. But I keep convinced dry hopping is better done with American or choice British hopssorts, with citric character. Would yield better aroma, flavour and finish.
