Pale with a big head, very floral and herbal. Good balance, and fresh pale malts. A delicious take on this beer.

That Dupont appearance that you all know and love (perfect).
Every bit as lip-smackingly delicious as the regular saison, with a fruitier, less herbal hoppiness. Big, fruity and lightly sweet in the mouth. All-around amazing, certainly can’t score it worse than the regular. I’d even say that depending on the mood I’m in, I’d prefer this over the regular. The hops make it feel less dry on the palate, almost like a Belgian IPA, which I would think is appropriate, since this is trying to highlight the hops. Great stuff, glad I found it.

Another great saison from Dupont, even a little bit more hoppy than the normal one. Very nice.

Labeled 2013, which appears to be hand written on the bottle. Same hazy appearance as the original. It definitely has more hops than the standard version and it works well in this beer, making it substantially dryer. I find the original to be very sweet.

750 c&c from Bine & Vine. Pours translucent/dirty gold with a 3 finger foamy white head. Aroma is citrus, and fruit ester and something earthy/mildly spicy. Very pure in a way. WETMs. Full bodied til the carb leaves. Then a confusing mix of flavors which end in a phenolic earthy taste, with some mild fruit esters trailing along. To some extent it is like unwashed vegetables - but what kind I’m not sure. It is becoming astringent. Half way to tart, maybe. No. It finishes very earthy and fruity, but earth is very dominant. The long finish coats the mouth with earthiness and hints of barnyard. This is really, perhaps not surprisingly, good ale.

On tap at APEX. Pours a copper color with a medium white head. A big sweet yeasty fruity Belgian ale nose. The flavor is oranges, sulfur, some caramel, toffee, biscuit, really balanced. Super tasty fluffy Belgian brew. Crisp mellow fruity hops. Certainly low to no bitterness. I see why people really dig this.

Bottle - effervescent gold pour - sudsy head - now THIS is hop you do a hoppy saison - god damn - the nose is unmistakably Saison Dupont - dry, crisp, moderate mineral bite, herbal notes, wildflower, tempered by a honey sweetness - the hops add an additional floral notes and a light citric brightness - grapefruit pith, melon - just smells fantastic - mouthfeel is a little fizzy at first, but smooths out after it sits for a while - dry, crisp, flinty up front, with a lot of wildflower character - bright floral and grassy hops, with a much more pronounced bitterness than the original Dupont, but it works extremely well - the finish provides a balancing sweetness, honey, chamomile - I love Dupont, so it’s no surprise I love this - not quite as good as the original, but so damn close.

really nice floral and fruit nose, hints of bubblegum and mint leaves, lemon grass. Flavor the familiar soft fruit, herbal and a little pepper hop. Soft carbonation, medium body. Very nice.
