We like to think this is an ale for everyone who believes you make your own luck. We sure did. And the result is a well-balanced, soulful IPA with just the right amount of hoppiness. An even keeled ale that goes down clean and refreshing, but still lets you know it’s been doted on by the Brewmaster. It’s true to it’s IPA heritage, but also highly drinkable. Lucky U. And we seriously mean that.

12oz-er pours copper with gold edges and weak tan head. The aroma is a mix of malts, butterscotch, pine hops and a light amount of grapefruit hoppiness around the edges. The taste is similar with pine hop bitterness giving way for a moment or two of grapefruit hop flavor and slick butterscotch. It gets a bit more bitter with pine and citrus hops into the finish.

Draft at Brewvival: Orange peel and tea nose. Hazy amber, thin head. Dry malty flavor of tea, with a tinny finish. Distinctly an English style IPA, fairly nice.

Looks a little like pale lager but perhaps a tad darker. Smell is dull IPA, not floral. Big bitter flavor that borders on double IPA. Quite strong with lots of personality. Could have a few more manners.Oily mouth coating palate with just a little carbonation. I’m not so lucky, eh? Bitter long medicinal finish that hangs witcha.

Pour is a hazy orange with a small white head. Aroma is floral pine hops and a bit of biscuit like malt. Flavor is some subtle hops with a little malt in the backround. Servicable but not mind blowing.

Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer poured a hazy orange-amber color with a large orange-white head. The aroma was moderately strong fruity and citric hops. The flavor was piney hops, a touch of fruity hops and citrus and a base that was sweet, tangy, malty and almost buttery. Long finish. Moderately full bodied. Decent.

Sample at Breckenridge Ball Park Brew Pub in Denver. This beer is a light amber color with a medium frothy white head that recedes steadily. Thin rings of lacing. Aroma of grain, piney hops and fruit. Medium body with flavors of pine, hops, raisins and malt. The finish is moderately bitter hops with a fruity aftertaste. Decent overall.

On tap at flying saucer. Pours a clear orange copper with a medium creamy white head that leaves good sticky white lacing along the glass. The aroma is a sweet floral hop with grapefruit. Thin mouthfeel with a sweet hop taste with light pine and citrus. Easy to drink, a good IPA from Breckenridge.

Lightly hazy copper, loose, sudsy lace - biscuity, british maltiness - stale hoppiness up front, followed by some lightly spicy, more fresh hop character - moderate diacetyl arrives late - finish of buttered toast - meh.

Bottle. Pours with a clear amber body and a decently large white head. Aroma is citrusy with grass and a bit of wheat. Taste is bland, wheat, buck wheat, malt, diaper, and earthy hops. Normal breckenridge, not 471 I should have passed. Light bubbles. Not a good IPA. Bad choice in hop profiles.

Bottle. I always love when there is a new IPA in town, so I jumped on this. Pours a clear orange with a thin head and aromas that promise a lot of pine and grass. Flavor is a little disappointing. A big medicinal herb presence asserts itself and gets in the way of malt and the pine from the nose. It’s not bad, but the direction promised by the aromas was much better than what was delivered.
