IPA Brewed with Rye
Serious hop bitterness, along with an unyielding grapefruit bouquet from the Amarillo dry hop, balances the malty richness of four varieties of imported Belgian caramel malts. Pours a spectacular crimson with a creamy tan head. A generous addition of rye malt accentuates a spicy, crisp finish.

Red amber with a lasting off-white head. Aroma of peach, tangerine and caramel. Sweet caramel flavour with peachy hops and a decent bitterness, though I found some tannins in the finish

Bottled at Bishop’s Arms Vasagatan, Stockholm. Cloudy orange, miniscule head. Fruity nose where grapefruit lurks on a distance. Sweet and fruity with medium body, plenty of cookies, some sweaty grapefruit peels followed by a resiny bitter finish. A solid, unusual beer.

Big beige head. Deep amber body with carbonation. Deep citric resiny wooden aroma with perfumy spicy notes. Outstanding vividness. Dry-sweet resiny wooden citric taste with grassy oily fruity notes. Sharpish mouthfeel. Mid-bodied. Dryish wooden resin and pine needle aftertaste with lacquer and mint notes. Wonderfully vivid, clear, and distinct. (0.355l bottle, Vika wine monopoly, Oslo.)

Bottle, bought in G.R. During RBSG 2010. Nice hop aroma, grass and citrus, with light caramel malts and some spiciness, probably from the rye. Deep, cloudy amber with a nice, low, tight head. Rich malts, caramel, rye I think! Creamy, smooth, very flavorful, with tons of hops. Hop flavor is earthy and a bit citrus, bitterness is huge! Delicious. Nice grainy character and spice from the rye.

Bottle from Beermerchants.com. Reddish-brown pour with a fluffy beige head. Nose of berries, caramel, orchard fruits and a little citrus. Malty, citrus flavours, quite fruity, some herbs. Quite a bitter tang. Good hoppy, bitter finish.

Sample from bottle at SBWF. Finaly I got to rate a specialty grain, one of the best, unfourtunately it was just a rather dull APA...
