33cl Bottle from Melgers, tfs Thijs! Slightly hazy golden amber colour, white head. Aroma of toast, hint of coffee beans, some floral hops, caramel, citrus. Flavour follows aroma, light bitterness, light soapy, some wheat, caramel, touch of coffee, bitter finish, some tropical fruit acidity. Light-bodied. OK stuff, but IPA?! I’d say wheat ale, like the original beer. Earlier Rating: 4/19/2011 Total Score: 333cl Bottle from De Bierkoning. Slightly hazy orange colour, white head. Aroma of light sweet fruits, light sour wheat, yeast, piney hops. Flavour is light sweet, malty, fruity, light sour wheat, yeast, wheat and hops in the finish. Light bodied, above average carbonation. OK.

Soft wheaty beer, with a mild taste of hops and some herbs I think. Balanced, but could use an extra feature.

Bottled. Hazy murky orangeish amber colour with a small slightly off-white head. Aroma is blueberries (or black currant), with mild malt and hoppiness as well. Flavour is fruity, berryish and also some sweeter maltiness to it. Still quite balanced.

Bottle from ABC Beers, Den Haag. Poured a cloudy medium brown colour with a long-lasting thin white head and no lace. The aroma is hoppy, but not strong. The flavour is medium bitter, hoppy and a little dry and spicy on the palate. It’s a rather refreshing beer it must be said and fine for a session.

330ml bottle. Hazy dark golden to amber colour with small, frothy to macropore, diminishing, white head. Wheaty and minimally spicy yeasty aroma with a fruity apple touch. Taste is dry, moderately spicy, minimally peppery, decent hop note.

33cl bottle at cafe de la gare. Thin white head. Hazy amber pour. Quite a decent wheat beer.
