Standing 12 ft. tall at the center of the brew deck is our HopBack vessel, where whole-flower hops swirl in hot wort and open up this deep amber with layers of grapefruit and pinesap. Crystal, Munich and Pilsner malts harmonize to add a complex balance of chewy caramel and toffee notes.

Bottle. A clear, dark golden to amber colored beer topped by a small, dense, off-white head. The aroma is lightly bready, with caramel malts, perfumed candy and some pine cones and grass. It’s medium to full-bodied, with a soft carbonation. Rather dry. Less bread and caramel in the flavor, a decent bitterness showing up and there’s also a piney, grassy touch and some candy hints. Mostly bitter finish. A rather boring one, but at least it drinks easy. 150625
