The Bons Vœux is a blond top fermentation beer with refermentation in the bottle.
Since 1970, the brewery has been brewing a special beer to give as a new years present to their best clients. (the name of this beer “Avec les bons Vœux de la brasserie Dupont » means « With the best wishes of the brewery Dupont » ).
Because of the increasing success, they started to commercialise this “cadeau” but kept the name. Although the demands were considerable, only a small quantity was brewed, so they had to make a reservation list, even months before new year.
This Bons Vœux is coppery blond, has very fine hoparomas and tastes bitter, fruity and mild.
Our selection of yeasts, in combination with a longduring riping process, on a “dry hopping” base, are creating a typical and complex aroma and taste.
A real refermentation in the bottle, which will continue for a long time in your cellar, result in a harmonious and well-balanced beer, full of unexpected and complex aromas.

750 ml corked and crowned bottle. Pours a cloudy honey gold color topped by a large rocky white head. Complex yeasty lemon citrus malt aroma. Bitter citrus malt flavor, notes of lemon peel and white peppercorns. Mid taste is dry and bitter with a creamy mouthfeel. Finish is dry and bitter, very long on the palate. Noticeable alcohol comes through. Outstanding! Got this in a Craft Beer Variety pack at Laurenti’s ShopRite Liquors in Mercerville, NJ. What a nice surprise.

Flaska från Ölbutikken i Köpenhamn. Ljust halmgul vätska med kritvitt högt skum. Kryddig, pepprig doft. Smak av gröna ärtor, gröna örter. Medelfyllig. Kort eftersmak.

Small bottle. Aroma is tart, fruity, malt, and yeast. Pours slightly hazy golden, the head disappears quickly but thin white line remains. Taste is fruity, sweet, tart, apples, yeast, and some bitterness. Alcohol is noticeable, but not unpleasant. Finish is at the same time sour, bitter and sweet. Overall: this beer took me by surprise. It’s definitely not a classic triple. Aroma and appearance were disappointing, but I liked everything else. Goes down really well for a almost 10 ABV beer.

BOTTLE 37,5CL.
Look: amber hazy with a huge white creamy-to-frothy head with good retention.
Aroma: dry, spicy (peppery and herbal), some yeast (french baguette crust), solvent.
Taste: herbal spiciness, dry, just a bit of fruitiness, light bitterness with a slight harsh/alcoholic edge (no actual ethanol taste).
It’s beefed up, but still a saison with its spicy herbal and drinkable character.

A nice tripel but I’m not sure it beats out a few of the other top contenders in the category. Huge perfume head on this - smells and initially tastes like a basket of potpourri. Pours blonde with ok head and lacing. Very well-balanced, which definitely puts this into the superior beer category. Finishes with light sweetness and some perfume. Average carbonation. Bottle at Bistro L’Autre Oeil.

Hazy blond colour. Aroma is very yeasty and spicy. Flavour has plenty of yeast, spicy pepper and a bit of a woody, barnyard taste. The finish has a pleasant hoppy dryness.
