The Bons Vœux is a blond top fermentation beer with refermentation in the bottle.
Since 1970, the brewery has been brewing a special beer to give as a new years present to their best clients. (the name of this beer “Avec les bons Vœux de la brasserie Dupont » means « With the best wishes of the brewery Dupont » ).
Because of the increasing success, they started to commercialise this “cadeau” but kept the name. Although the demands were considerable, only a small quantity was brewed, so they had to make a reservation list, even months before new year.
This Bons Vœux is coppery blond, has very fine hoparomas and tastes bitter, fruity and mild.
Our selection of yeasts, in combination with a longduring riping process, on a “dry hopping” base, are creating a typical and complex aroma and taste.
A real refermentation in the bottle, which will continue for a long time in your cellar, result in a harmonious and well-balanced beer, full of unexpected and complex aromas.

A super incredibly dry beer, dupont style. Flavourful, but an off ashy bitterness that feels due to handling. It’s a super strong sasison dupont. Online belgian beer factory

Draught at Moeder Lambic Fontainas. Cloudy blond/orange colour with white frothy head which soon fades. Aroma is sweet, malty, toffee, caramel, bit boozy, and a bit vanilla creamy. Taste is beautifully smooth, vanilla, sweet with a slight bitterness. One of the greats. An absolute beauty.

Vintage 2001: firm frothy head. Hoppy, citric aroma and flavor. Pinetree. You really can't notice the alcohol. Long hopbitter citric finish. Medium bodied and a good lacing. A delicious high quality beer.

Unclear to hazy, orange colored, medium white frothy head, nice lasting. Spicy Belgian feel all round, with nice herbal and spicy hops, medium bitterness, some citrus notes, moderate malty sweetness, straw, dry finish. Medium bodied, average carbonation, oily. One of my favorite Belgian brews definitely!

White creamy head stayed in dark amber still body with plenty of particulate. Belgian yeast, orange & banana aroma. Medium bodied, soft & airy over the tongue with a clean finish. Sweet tastes of tangerine, yeast, spices & peach with a rather tangy, bitter & peppery finish.

37,5 cl. bottle @ home, bought @ Mitra Rialto Händelstraat, Utrecht. Golden with a white head. Sweet yeasty aroma with some peppery notes. Sweet taste with a rather dry finish. I must admit I expected really more from this beer as I absolutely love the Saison Dupont but this one didn't quite do it for me. To sweet and not complex enough.

9 February 2019. Bottle from drankdozijn.nl, vintage 2017 (I guess). Cheers to cousin Luca's birthday! Pours hazy yellow with a lasting, small, frothy, off-white head; some lacing. Rich aroma of apple peel, green banana, yeast, white grape, champagne almost, hay, wet straw, cellar, breadcrust, unripe pear, white pepper. Taste is light to medium fruity sweet, quite delicate, some estery banana but more apple (peel) & pear on a bready & yeasty base; light to medium spicy bitter then, Saison-like peppery & grassy with an edge of spicy hops coming through, bit sourish, some bitter grape & vague hay- or cellar-like dankness. Dry, earthy & grassy hoppy finish, floral fruity accents too, lingering bread & yeast, with a nice dash of jenever-, almost champagne-like alcohol. Medium body, slick-creamy texture, lively carbonation. Great Tripel, feels very 'classically' Belgian but it's elegant in its yeastiness & spicy-grassy character.
