Poured from a can dated 01/09/26 in to a nonic pint glass

Pours deep dark cola brown, almost black with a finger of tight tan head that settles to tight ring leaving a very light bit of lace

Aroma of roast coffee is in the forefront, followed by some sweeter smelling caramel that melds with mocha notes

Taste leads with dark semi sweet coffee, roasty dark malts meld with the caramel moving into the bitter dark cocoa with a slightly ashy bitterness in the end.

Medium body with a medium carbonation, kind of prickly mouth feel, roast malt and bitterness linger in the finish.

Overall I wish this was a bit more smooth in the mouth feel, a touch more body or a bit lighter carbonation might make this one more enjoyable for me. Still I'd come back to this as it's a good coffee porter.

Reviewed from notes.
Can into English pint glass.
Appearance: dark brown close to black color with a two and a half fingers of eggshell white foamy head which dissipated at a nice pace to leave some light lace
Aroma: big roasty coffee tones, dark chocolate, toffee notes, slight sweet wafers
Flavor: blends the prior noted aromas to a nice sweet to roasty quality; finishes coffee forward
Texture: light to medium bodied, sessionable, very smooth along the tongue, light roasty harshness shows some light assertiveness
Overall: a very nicely done coffee porter I'd have again.

Roast and some coffee but lacks overall character. Pours black with good head and lacing. Watery consistency. Tall can from some trade.

Can. Pours dark brown, almost black with some light brown foam on top. Nice roasted fresh coffee on the nose. Soft toffee and molasses. Creamy body, coffee coming out strong, on top of cocoa nibs. Dry and not too sweet, quite flavourful and drinks easy at the same time.

16oz can pours a muddy, cola brown with some swirling, beige head. Nose has a nice blend of malt, toast, brown sugar, mild coffee, marzipan. Flavor is sweet with brown sugar, malt and nougat, some dark chocolate, coffee too. Finishes dry, roasty. Well structured, well done.
