Had this sat outside the Texelse brewery, Texel island on a glorious day 28.09.11 Pours copper in colour with very good clarity. This is soft in the mouth with a bit of heat from the alcohol showing. There is some caramel, it’s medium bitter, nice carbonation, touch of spice, its very nice. A6 A4 T7 P3 Ov13 3.3

30 cl bottle @ home. Brown, hazy color, beige head. Aroma’s: wheat, malt, caramel, hints of clove and banana, spices. Flavor is sweetish, yeasty, a hint of sourness. The higher than normal alcohol content is noticeable. Finishes a bit dry, but not bitter. OK.

Draught @ Cafe Buitenlust, Oirschot. ABT beer of the month January 2011. Pretty average, not much to tell about this beer. Nice color, decent smell and taste.

Bottled 330ml
Courtesy of bierkoning, thanks Edo! Hazy ruby-orange color, small white head. Aroma of raisins and banana. Medium-bodied. Flavor is quite hoppy for a weizenbock. Some caramel malts, alcohol, banana fruityness with light woody notes. Ok brew although not maybe not the most stylish weizenbock.

Amber colour, slightly hazy, firm frothy white head. Aroma of banana, caramel, hints of candied papaya, sharonfruit. Flavour mosty sweet, caramel, fruits. Hints of german dunkel weizen, but this could be the banana. Pronounced alcohol. (From 33cl bottle)

Towering light brownish-beige head over hazed amber beer. Banana! Bit of solvent, fusels. Very Weizen, less Bock. Banana! And again solvent, but also wood, dried than expected, alcohol and a little sweetness hiding behind fruity & spicy bitterness. Even a bit tart. Warming up, the sweetness increases substantially. Quite slick, like pressed fruit, near chewy. As said, more Weizen than Bock, but a good Weizen!
