Brewed with well water (the original well at the Old Brewery, sunk in 1758, is still in use, with the hard well water being drawn from 85 feet underground); best barley malt, yeast and aromatic hops; fermented in ‘stone Yorkshire squares’ to create a relatively dry ale with rich nutty colour and palate of beech nuts, almonds and walnuts.

550ml bottle from the Golden Baal, Scarborough. Pours clear brown, thin beige head. Aromas of toffee, nuts, burnt sugar. Taste is more burnt sugar. Not my bag, grandma.

Caoba, brillante. Deja pasar la luz ligeramente. Bonita espuma ligeramente manchada y bastante consistente.

Pours dark amber. Tan head. Aroma is cola nut, coffee, iron. Fizzy, creamy, full body. Nice metallic touch. Not very long bitter finish.

beautyful appearance of clear reddish-brown colour and 1 inch beige-ish off-white head; aroma of toffee, hints of cocoa, herbal notes, some fruitiness and nuts; taste of caramel, roastedness, herbal notes, slight fruitiness and nuts; masterpiece of brown ales

Old rating. Pours a medium brown with a beige head that dissipates fairly quickly. Nice aromas of hazelnut, pecan, toffee and caramel. Taste is more of the same with a good bit of toasted malts. Mild nutty finish with a slight sour undertone. Great stuff. --- Beer merged from original tick of Nut Brown Ale on 10 Jun 2017 at 12:08

550 mL bottle poured. Love these uniformed bottles by the way. Pours a copper color with a lasting head. Super sweet candy malt aroma. Flavor is really mild. Slightly nutty, not quite as much as I expected. Dry malt finish. Another pretty good beer from these guys. Enjoyed it.

Toll malzig-nussiges Bier. Nicht zu süß, schön trocken-malzig mit tollem nussigen Unterton. Schöne Ale-characteristik, leicht herber, nussig-malziger Nachgeschmack. Lecker!

A malty and quite sweet aroma. Smooth and quite rich texture. Full flavoured with a nice balance of sweet versus dry.
