Avalanche is the quintessential, refreshing pale ale showcasing Cascade and Liberty hops. Punchy, clean citrus and grassy hop flavours with a balanced, bittersweet finish designed to quench the strongest of thirsts. Named after punk band, ''I Am The Avalanche'', our year-round progressive pale ale was first brewed in 2007 and quickly became a favourite of our team.

500ml bottle. Minimally milky, yellow-ish, golden colour with average, frothy, moderately lasting, minimally lacing, snow white head. Citrusy, slightly herbal, minimally floral, hoppy aroma, biscuity, pale malty background, notes of lemon, a touch of lemongrass, nettle, thistle, whiffs of chamomile. Taste is moderately bitter, citrusy, herbal and slightly floral hoppy, biscuity, pale malty basis with subtle, residual sweetness, hints of lemon, nettle, thistle, some lemongrass, a touch of lemon biscuit, chamomile; mineral finish. Minimally oily, watery texture, smooth and soft, simultaneously minimally dry palate, medium, mildly prickly carbonation. Well balanced, light, refreshing - good.

Cask. Clear pale golden color with white head. Aroma is straw, powdered sugar, a touch earthy and vegetal. Taste is the same, with a surprisingly bitter finish. Oily mouthfeel, almost flat. Not for me.

Cask at Ginger Man Boston, 5/3/18.
Perfectly bright, copper-tinted-golden with a white head showing great retention.
Farmy funk, lotta pepper and a touch of pencil shaving. Lemony hop with more mineral through the middle leading to cracker and biscuit malt. Definitely fun, if not actually compelling. Super sparse in the malt category with no alcohol noted.
In the mouth it's light but supple with a touch of crayon. Lemon pepper and other fresh herbal notes indicate ample hopping. Great dryness with lots of pepper and bitterness lingering on the finish. The malts are kind of droopy, though, and very odd. Some sweetness and offsetting grain-like notes would go a long way here. As is, it's kind of wet, vapid and showing too much exposed bitterness on the end.

Handpump at LuppoloStation (Rome). Hazy golden/orangey pour, off-white foam. Nose: ashes, earthy and malty. Mouth: very English pale ale classic, round and a bit earthy. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Cask@Falcon, Clapham Junction - Golden pour with a white head. Sweet bready malty and light fruity, light to medium body, floral light grassy hoppy into the close. Ok.

500ml bottle. Pale golden / straw colour, smooth fine white head, very long lasting. Aroma of light malt and citrus hops, grassy floral notes. Taste is much the same with light malt and hop flavours and a light bitter finish. A fine light golden ale.

Handpump @Bir&Fud (Rome). Pours golden with a medium and persistent white head. Aroma is malty, biscuit, citrusy with grass and floral notes, ok. Flavour has a light malt profile with a good bitter end. Light body, light carbonation. Well done!
