Avalanche is the quintessential, refreshing pale ale showcasing Cascade and Liberty hops. Punchy, clean citrus and grassy hop flavours with a balanced, bittersweet finish designed to quench the strongest of thirsts. Named after punk band, ''I Am The Avalanche'', our year-round progressive pale ale was first brewed in 2007 and quickly became a favourite of our team.

(Cask at Kittyβs, 20120817) The beer poured pale gloden and clear. Its head was small and white. Aroma had yeast, fruitiness and malts. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were fruitiness, grain, yeast, malts and bitterness. Aftertaste was fruity and bitter. Nice clean but also thin ale.

500mL bottle, pours a clear golden yellow with a medium foamy white head. Mellow aroma of straw, biscuity malts, and ever so slight English floral hops. Flavour of pleasantly bitter floral hops, balanced by just enough biscuity malts. Very light and pleasantly hoppy, and nothing more. Nice and refreshing, but ultimately uninspiring - guess I shouldn't expect such a thing from a 4.5% English blond ale.

(Cask at Euston Tap, Euston, London, 24 Nov 2011) Pale yellow colour with frothy, white head. Fruity, hoppy nose with lemon, biscuity malt and grass. Fruity, hoppy taste with notes of citrus, grass, biscuity malt and a fresh, citric bitterness in the finish. Medium body, with just a touch of sweetness. Refreshing and quite nice.
