Avalanche is the quintessential, refreshing pale ale showcasing Cascade and Liberty hops. Punchy, clean citrus and grassy hop flavours with a balanced, bittersweet finish designed to quench the strongest of thirsts. Named after punk band, ''I Am The Avalanche'', our year-round progressive pale ale was first brewed in 2007 and quickly became a favourite of our team.

Cask at CBC Islington. It pours golden yellow with a medium white head. The nose is pale malt, pithy citrus, grapefruit and nectarine. The taste is grapefruit, pithy citrus, cereal, hay, light resin, wood and nice level of bitterness with a dry, bitter finish. Medium body and soft carbonation. Nice hippy golden.

Bottle from Booths Supermarket, Media City. Cloudy yellow coloured ale with a very small head. It is extremely well hopped with a very fruity aroma in this respect and the same character for its flavour.

Cask @ Black Door
Forms a white head(!). Aroma is fruity with peach, some hay and hints of apricot. Flavour is hoppy with peach, apricot and some disturbing nettle and gooseberry notes that feel almost vegetable‐like. Feels like the hops have grown too old here. 6-2-6-3-11 = 2.8

50 cl bottle @ home, BBE 08/2012
Aroma is fruity with peaches and hay. Also hints of caramel. Flavour is somewhat sweet with hops, fruits, wheat, peaches, hay and some gooseberry bush. Much better than the cask. 7-3-7-3-13 = 3.2

Bottle. Nice bright citric aroma. Pale hazy yellow, lacing white head. Spritzy citrus, light grassy hops on a light straw malt body. Light metallic grassy and citric hops retronasal. Sparkly mouthfeel. Quite refreshing in the summer heat.
