Brewed with Japanese wild-bred mandarin orange - ‘Fukure Mikan’ - and aroma hops with hints of orange. A great amount of malty umami taste complements well with the fruity citrus flavours.

Bottle shared at Chrisso’s May 2014 tasting 25/05/2014. Translucent orange / golden coloured pour with a lasting loose white head. Aroma is corn, pretty stale, some spicy hop and hint of mint. Flavour is composed of sweet corn and stale malts, some grassy hop, medium hop bitterness. Palate is fairly sweet, with moderate carbonation. Lingering spice. Showing some signs of age / travel.

Quite drinkable with lots of orange. Pours cloudy amber/orange with good head and lacing. Certainly more of an orange beer than an IPA. Light note of fermented orange funk. Finishes with light sweetness, not much bitterness. Some tangerine. Tap at Pizzeria Paradiso Dupont.

Mug’s Ale House, Brooklyn tap ($8): Pours orange with a white head. Aroma is orange, sugary malt, and a bit of hops. Taste is quite sweet with a sort of orange juice flavor. Kind of thick and malty. This was very much in the direction of an English IPA, but perhaps even sweeter. Not bad.
