Tap at Capitol Beer in Sacramento, CA. Pours amber with a white head. Aroma is melon/citrus. Med body. Flavor is orange and some caramel. And a bit of floral. Finishes decently dry and somewhat bitter.

Bottle sample at a tasting at the Beer & Beyond shop. Thanks Ariel. Hazy yellowish golden. Aroma of orange peels, a bit of graininess and light hoppy notes. Sweetish and spicy flavor with orange peels, light citric hops notes and a finish with a bit of bitterness. Medium-bodied.

Bottled. An amber beer with a yellowish head. The aroma has notes of malt, caramel, and flowery and spicy hops. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt, spices, hops, and straw. Leading to a bitter finish.

33 cl bottle. Pours hazy orange with a small white head. Herbal, grassy and dry spiced hoppy, toasted malty. Bitter, toffee and grapefruity. Bitter, toasted malty. Lingering fruity finish.

At Asahiya, bottle the label says IPA, 6.2%. It’s a nice gold orange pour with a beige head with great staying power. Nice sweet candy like flavor with a bitter pine finish. Ah the sweetness comes from orange peels! I wonder what the mix of hops is on this? Nice but not overly complex, a good IPA for summer.

Draught at Yellow Ape. Caramel, chocolate, orange (daidai), with grassy hops. Nice, fun, refreshing summer drink.

Light amber color. Smells like daidai, which is not very distinguishable. Perhaps a whiff of diacetyl. The hops kinda get blocked out. Big daidai flavors in the mouth, slightly buttery. Moderately aggressive bitterness. A bit astringent. Not exactly my cup.
