A selected blend of choice coffees gives complexity and depth to the dark beer with a compact creamy head. Coffee notes in the bouquet, which is particularly broad and fascinating. Hints of chocolate in the mouth, together with nuts and liquorice for an unforgettable experience.

Bottle. Catty roast, oxidized coffee. Dark brown, offwhite lace. Creamy milkshake, vanilla/oak, earthy, olives, flat. Dry choc bean finish. Did not find it very harmonic.

(bottle, 35.5cl) Clear, mahogany colour with a beige medium-sized frothy head. Discreet aroma of slightly roasted malt with notes of coffee/mocha, molasses and a tinge of dried fruits. Moderately sweet and roasty bitter flavour, medium to full bodied with a soft carbonation. Dark and mildly roasty, also slightly leafy, nutty malty base with notes of grounded coffee beans, molasses and mildly fruity accents; medium-dry, mildly roasty bitter finish with coffee and cautious nutty notes in the aftertaste. The alcohol is well-hidden. 01.VIII.16

Bottle from Booths, Media City. Almost black, with a very thin head. It’s coffee flavour certainly hides its strength, this is not too evident, and it has a fairly palatable texture. It’s more stated in its nose with a heavier dryness here. There’s a mild floralness about the ale too.

Bottle. @ Cafe Berry, Sliema, Malta. Pours cloudy very dark brown with airy light tan head. Clear aroma of roast, chocolate and coffee, with malty and estery touches. Sweetish flavour of chocolate, malt and yeast, with roasty and hoppy notes. Hints of metal. Roasty and estery aftertaste with slightly acidic aftertaste. Decent.

330ml bottle. Quasi black colour with average, frothy, half-way öasting, minimally lacing, tan head. Nuttily, dark malty aroma, espresso notes with a (not untypical) metallic touch. Taste dark malty, minimally sugary spicy, notes of coffee and espresso, a nuttily touch; soft, minimally sticky palate, slightly "coarse" carbonation disturbes the sipper character.
