A selected blend of choice coffees gives complexity and depth to the dark beer with a compact creamy head. Coffee notes in the bouquet, which is particularly broad and fascinating. Hints of chocolate in the mouth, together with nuts and liquorice for an unforgettable experience.

Ogi’s, of course, like the others that day, shared with heavy (and Maja) as well. Hmmm... dark brown/black tinged with amber with an off white head. Smells like Turkish coffee residue with some fresh fruity maltiness, some black fruit. The taste stays in the same vein which is hardly a bad think. Quite interesting despite being relatively one dimensional. Amarcord shows again that they can brew a very good beer.

355ml bottle - deep brown - near black pour. thin tan head. soon dissipates to a thin froth. Nose of coffee, roast malts, a dry chocolate based taste, some blackcurrants there, a bit of liquorice, ending with a thin smoky dry finish. Quite nice, enjoyed this to finish Christmas Day.
