Bright gold in colour, with a compact foamy head. Fruity and floral notes from the use of orange-blossom honey and slow refermentation in the bottle. Great elegance, harmony and balance on the palate. Every sip finishes with the tang of hops, with the invitation to continue the experience.

Bottle @ Cafe Berry, Sliema, Malta. Pours clear amber with airy but stable white head. Clear aroma of malt and fruit, with hoppy and estery notes. Sweetish, fruity and malty flavour with notes of yeast and bitter, hoppy touches. Estery and slightly fruity aftertaste with grainy notes. Decent.

Big offwhite head doesn’t last. Clear deep yellow body with strong carbonation. Fruity perfumy spicy aroma with wooden notes. Dry fruity wooden taste with spicy herbal notes. Mid-bodied. Mild, slightly fizzy mouthfeel. Dry resiny wooden aftertaste with metallic earthy notes. Interesting and slightly unusual, but perhaps could be a little fresher. (0.33l bottle, at gastropub at Stockholm airport.)

Bottle from the The Hop Pole (shop) Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire, Thursday 20th August 2015 Pours hazy gold with a white head. Soft in the mouth, spicy, yeasty, but also a little metallic (pilsner malt?). Tangy and fruity the orange honey shows in a sweet floral way. Loz said this tastes like a Belgiany lager (spot on) A6 A4 T8 P4 Ov14 3.6

Bottle from Seiyu 150 yen with a best buy date of June 2016. Value is excellent. Poured into a Duvel tulip. Pours a fairly clear orangish golden color with a huge off-white soapy head that dissipates and leaves a nice rim around the beer. Very floral notes of apple, pear and orange with some clover honey as well. Light to light-medium body with lively carbonation. Very bright and floral on the palate with a nice dry and lightly sweet finish (the honey I suppose). Very solid Belgian. --- Beer merged from original tick of Amarcord AMA Bionda on 29 May 2015 at 12:30 - Score: 7

355 ml bottle from my local Seiyu supermarket, cost me only 150 yen. I guess it’s bargain because its best before is in the middle of May - more than three months left. Pours golden, very dense carbonation, foaming head that stays for long. OK, for me it means that fermentation in the bottle has been going on a bit longer than needed, so I understand the discount. Anyway, aroma has some candy sugar, wet cardboard and a bit of spices with honey sweetness. Taste is quite mild, hops are only for the frame, main taste is coming from candy sugar that gives some spiciness and probably Belgian yeast too. Stronger body where you can feel some alcohol. Not too bad and actually really good deal when you consider the price. Could drink more of this.
