Bottle, 10C. A gusher. Amber with a white head. Aroma of light caramel, grain, honey, pears, orange blossoms. On the light side of medium bodied, moderate carbonation. A little sweet with a dryish finish. Fruity with pears, some berries and oranges. Some honey. Lowish bitterness with some spices. Cursed myself (and Purvis) for not noticing it was bb August, but it’s very nice anyway - a mellow and intriguing quaffing beer that’s at once a bit rustic yet has some finesse.

Bottle from Seiyu for 400 yen. Served in a half-pint glass. A crystal clear gold with a foamy white head that leaves soapy lacing behind. 6% it has a big sweet fruity orange aroma which is no surprise as it was brewed with orange honey. The body is on the rough side and a bit light. The taste is sweet crackery light malts, honey, floral notes of possibly jasmine and that orange fruitiness. 355ml bottle from Booths, Penwortham. Pours clear gold, thick white head. Aromas of honey, saison-like yeast, light spice. Taste is light sweet, pale stone fruit. Medium body, slightly sweet finish. OK.

Bottle, Butler’s, Uddevalla. Hazy yellow with a big quickly dissipating white foam, some lacings. Aroma is citrus, yeast, slight honey touch. Taste is nicely balanced with citrus, honey, floral hops and a slight yeasty character. Finishes slight sour-bitter-dryish. Medium body, medium to high carbo, dry texture.

Bottle at Caffeine Berry, Sliema. It pours clear golden with a medium white head. The nose is soft, doughy, bubblegum, candied peel, brioche, cereal and light spice The taste is crisp, bitter, clean, doughy, light spice, grassy and cereal with a dry finish. Medium body and fine carbonation. Crisp and rather drinkable.

Bottle. Clear golden liquid with medium white head. Aroma of banana, clove, bread, white pepper and floral hops. Taste is dry and light bitter with notes of white pepper, banana and bread. Light to medium bodied with medium to high carbonation. Pretty nice.
