0.33l bottle. Malty aroma with caramel notes and notes of berry fruits. Clear dark amber color, small head. Malty taste, caramel. Medium body, watery texture, average carbonation and bitter finish with caramel notes. Not bad, but...

440ml can. Pours clear ruby brown with a small creamy head, despite the nitro widget. Aroma is weak caramel and faint roasted malts. Taste is the same, quite watery, low bitterness.

0.1 l on tap at ’The Shakespeare’ (Herdecke). Clear, dark golden amber with a thin, slightly creamy, white head. Sweetish-malty, a little fruity aroma of caramel and red fruits. Sweetish-malty, a little fruity taste of caramel, some honey and a bit of red fruits, followed by a short, just slightly bitter, a little musty finish. Thin to medium body, slightly oily mouthfeel, very soft carbonation. Okay, just very bland.

Clear brown with quickly vanished white head. Aroma is bubblegum, sweet apple, smoke, some red wine stuff. Taste is mostly apple sourness, and esthery bitterness. Creamy mouthfeel, medium body, easy to drink. Ok but not great.

Pint on tap. Pours clean ruby-copper, off-white head. Aroma is redcurrant, cherry, bisquit. Taste is soft, lo-carb, slightly sweet. Low-lingering finish with little bitterness.

Pours reddish brown from the bottle. The off white crown fizzes and disappears. A sweet caramel aroma greets the nose. Taste is malty with roasted notes. An initial sourness turns sweeter, with faint honey notes, before ending with a totally uneventful finish. A somewhat stale aftertaste lingers afterwards. The palate is very thin; the carbonation a touch too high. Not something I could picture buying again.
