Our West Coast inspired India Pale Ale is rich in flavor and abundant in citrus, pine, and floral aromatics created through a wonderful infusion of Citra hops. Completely refreshing with a medium mouth-feel, crisp bitterness, and nearly balanced malt. Finishes dry with a head that creates excellent lacing. Beautifully Nebraskan.

Purchased at Bottles and Cans in Chicago, IL; enjoyed at home on a great Tuesday summer evening with perfect weather after a run. Appearance is dark gold with a rich white head that laces to the glass. Aroma is a great balance of grassy hops with citrus undertones, decently hoppy. Taste is delicious, great balance with a great hop profile. Really enjoyable stuff!

Can. Light amber/golden body. Bubbly off-white head. Aroma of leafy hops, grapefruit, pine, resin, citrus. toasted grain. The flavor is moderately sweet and lightly to moderately bitter. It finishes lightly sweet and moderately bitter. Medium body, watery/sticky texture, lively carbonation. Taste starts with orange and citrus. Finishes with bitter resin. Sweetness helps keep this from being a pine/resin bomb. Clean malts.

Crisp light copper coloured body with a one centimetre tall tan head. Aroma of cardboard, light malt, citrus and herbal hops with a grassy and resinous scent as well and a faint bit of honey. Medium-bodied; Very resinous and grassy flavour at first with some sweetness noticeable right afterwards and a floral/piney touch at the end. Aftertaste is rather one-dimensional with the grassy hop notes showing through, but no real malt nor sweetness, rather underwhelming. Overall, a decent IPA at best, but a bit too flat and non-expressive, but at least it isn’t too deep or offputting, just a rather one-sided beer. I sampled this twelve ounce can purchased from Total Wine in Chantilly, Virginia on 31-January-2015 for US$1,99 sampled at home in Washington on 22-May-2015.

This was poured into a nonic pint glass.
The appearance was a hazy burnt amber color with a one finger white foamy head that dissipated within about a good thirty seconds. Messy lacing stuck nicely around the glass.
The smell had a decent blend of sweet caramel malts to bitter citrus hops.
The taste was divided a bit as the bitter citrus came and went through the caramel malts. It didn’t seem to combine as well. A light citrus aftertaste bled into a dry finish.
On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a dry feel running over my tongue. Decent sessionability.
Overall, well, if anything, everything seems to be there, mostly balanced but somewhat not blending right in the taste. Is this old? Wish there was a date somewhere on the can.

12oz can pours with a crystal clear copper body that supports a thin near white head. The aroma offers up a sprinkle of light malts and roasted malts with bigger notes malt sweetened earthy to spicy hops. In the background are mild off notes of sweet dark fruity esters and caramel candy. The taste hits with spicy to pine to earthy hop bitterness first and then quickly into modest levels of malts and more resiny hoppiness. Pretty nice flavor.
