Rocky white head on a clear dark golden coloured body. Bitter & malt aroma - smells like a 70s Bitter. Medium bodied, sharp & dry. Malt, caramel & berry tastes with a bitter finish. Tastes like 70s Bitter.

500ml clear bottle from Morrisons. Gold pour small white head but no retention after a while. Slightly skunky aroma with bready malts, grapefruit, herbs. Taste is horribly skunked and unpleasant, but in the background there is biscuit malts, light fruits. Light to moderate body, carbonation is fine. Very poor.

3/10/2020. Bottle at the Torun GP bottle-share, from Morrison's, Ipswich. Pours clear bright gold with a small frothy white head. Aroma of grain, sweet malt, fruit, buttery caramel. Moderate sweetness and bitterness. Moderate body, slight creamy texture, soft carbonation. Looked good, not bad overall

Many thanks to Nathalie for providing the bottle! Pours clear dark golden with a thin, foamy, white head. Weak aroma of plain malt, honey, dish washer, white bread. Taste has sweet malty honey & bread, a bit grainy, bit herbal; yeasty, grainy finish. Light to medium body, slick texture, average carbonation. Nothing really happening here.

Bottle from Sainsburys. Pours golden yellow, quite translucent with a big white head. Quite fizzy in the mouth, with a bit of carbonation. Smells quite like a shandy, quite citrus hoppy, bit of grass too. Some slight creaminess. Taste is quite straightforward, but is refreshing. Quite a crisp finish. Not bad.

Bottle at my parents, from one of the German discount supermarkets. Malty aroma. Medium gold. Visibly bubbly plus bubbly white head. Some bitterness but It's all about the malts. Not getting so much of the promised fruit. Light-medium bodied. Thin. Fizzy carbonation. Long finish. Drinkable but nothing to see here.

Bottle at home. A very bitter and "wheaty" golden ale that was welcome following a birthday tea for my middle daughter of Dominos pizza. It cut nicely through all of the grease and salt! A pleasant colour, no real head, but a nice uncompromising bitterness. My relationship with wheaty beers is odd, I love them or hate them and I am not sure why. Is it the beer or the occasion?
