The big sister of the Little Sumpin' Sumpin' Ale...Lots of wheat for a curious malt complexity and leaving it light in color, but huge in flavor and satisfaction.

Woof, this does not hide its ABV, which is strange because 8.5% isn’t exactly huge. Nose is a lot of alcohol, some acetone/fusel notes, and a background of floral mango and citrus hops. Flavor is alcoholic, big sweet high gravity, and sugary malts, balanced by a citrus and resin hop background, but only barely balanced. Overall a good beer, but more burn than it ought to have. Drinks bigger than it really is.

On cask at Ushers. Appearance - golden with a proportionate head. Nose - oranges, apricots and green hops. Taste - nettles and green pepper, almost seaweed. Of course big tangy citrus too. Palate - medium bodied with a creamy yet tangy texture and a long dry tangy finish. Overall - am I having the beer or is it having me.

Bottle [from trade with jtclockwork] @ home. Clear almost golden color, medium to full sized decently lasting white head. Aroma is lightly malts, hops, quite fruity with a hint of passion fruit and mango. Taste some malts, hops, again quite sweet with plenty of sweetish fruity influences like passion fruit and mango. Lightly bitter in the finish, but mainly sweetish hops. Slightly sticky texture, medium body, quite soft carbonation. It could have used a bit more piney and resinous hops imo, but still a solid IIPA.

On tap at Stein’s in Mountain View. Pours a hazy yellow with full white head. Moderate tropical and lemon, with balanced mouthfeel from the wheat. Refresher for this alcohol.
