A tart farmhouse ale whose inspiration is drawn from freshly baked berry pie features a half-pound per gallon of strawberries, blueberries and blackberries. The sweet acidity of the berries paired with the mild farmhouse funk of our house culture is rounded by the addition of full bodied Haw Creek honey.

Draft at Craft Brewed Wicked Weed event. Pours a pretty deep pink, to red with a finger of foam that lingers. Raspberry, young strawberry aromas....touch of lingonberry. Slight vanilla oak. Tart on the palate, tasty tartness. Yogurt and berry towards the finish. Very nice. --- Beer merged from original tick of Brettaberry on 17 Oct 2017 at 21:47 - Score: 8. Bottle. Very funky Brett/barnyard, berry, biscuit malt, and hay aroma. Hazy golden yellow with small head. Lightly sweet berry, biscuit malt, moderately sour Brett, and mildly bitter hay flavor. Good body. Very funky.

Bottle from Sherry's. Clear golden-preacher, slight pink hue. Frothy off-white head and streaky, sticky lace. Pretty much as expected, fruity / berry aroma and flavor. Funky, a little tart. Finishes tart and just a little sour. Nice stuff.

Bottle shared at the Hackobock tasting at Craft Islington. Cheers! It pours cloudy amber with a medium off-white head. The aroma is rich, funky, vanilla, musty, wood, fruit crumble and jammy berry. The taste is crisp, tart, green apple, pear, lemon peel, sweet tangy berry, kind of sugary, lemon sherbet and wood with a dry finish. Medium body and moderate carbonation. Pretty decent stuff. Drinks easy.
