bottiglia 33 cl, ed. 2015, schiuma fine cappuccino persistente, color marrone intenso con riflessi mogano, al naso subito liquore vino Porto poi esteri frutta matura uvetta sotto spirito leggero caffè cacao malto tostato zucchero di canna e una punta di anice, in bocca è vellutata e riscalda malto tostato frutta candita leggero liquirizia spezie leggero banana, corpo strutturato, l'alcool si sente ma ci vuole, carbonazione leggera, Dolce ma non stucchevole con amaro accentato lungo nel finale. Bottle at home. Pours a dark brown colour with a big beige head. Aroma of dates, phenols, anise, cranberries, liqour, nuts, leather rye bread and roasted malt. Flavour of dates, phenols, roasted malt, liqour and anise. Has a slick and a little soft mouth feel, full-bodied and a light bitterness. Tasteful and rich with nice roasted tones in the background.

Creamy lightbrown excellent fullt lasting head. Dark amber colour. Heavy malty and moderate hoppy aroma. Heavy bitter flavor. Long heavy bitter finish. Creamy palate.

Bottle @ home. Deep dark brown colour, beige foam. Nose of dried fruit, caramel, some spices, a bit roasty. Taste is sweet, malty, some hoppiness and notes of spices. Well balanced.

18 December 2020. Christmas Beer Evening with the lovely Anke! Bottle from Geers. Could be the 2018 edition for all I know. Hazy dark brown, thick, foamy, tan head. Aroma of candied orange, prune, date, chocolate praliné, fudge, coriander, wet clove, liquorice, brandy. Taste has very sweet dark fruits (date, prune, plum), bittersweet candied orange in a rather subtle caramelly body; some spicy coriander & toast in the middle; ending herbal hoppy with liquorice, lots of dried dark fruits & heating brandy alcohol. Full body, oily-syrupy texture, average carbonation. Mikkeller taking on the Dark Belgian Ale style and just acing it.
