Not bad belgian strong blonde ale, nothing extraordinary though, nothing really of note but nothing offsetting.

On tap at the brewery. It pours a clear gold yellow color with a white head. The aroma has some big time banana. The flavor is a little different with some earthy and minty hops up front and banana coming through later. Solid, creamy mouthfeel with perfect carbonation and a floral bitter finish. Good.

Tap at watering hole. Hazy golden color with a pillowy white head. Cinnamon, nutmeg coriander and burned yeast with some banana cream pie in the nose. Heavy body with average carbonation. Intense yeast / spice burn on the palate. Barely drinkable. Yeast finish with lots of caramel syrup. Yuck. --- Beer merged from original tick of The Groupie Belgian Strong Blonde on 25 Dec 2015 at 22:13 - Score: 5

Keg at the Acoustic Ales tasting room, SD, 19/04/14. Clear rich golden with a moderate off white covering that dissipates to a swirl. Nose is toffee, spice, bubblegum, banana, yeast esters. Taste comprises much the same. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with a suggestion of booze. Decent Belgian number.
