Our Fathom India Pale Lager combines time-honored lagering techniques with the hop profiles of a West Coast IPA recipe. The cold-fermenting lager yeast provides a clean base that allows the citrus and pine aromas from the hops to really shine. The result is a gold medal beer with a refreshing, easy drinking character and just the right amount of depth.

12 ounce can from Beer Run. Clear golden, large white head, good retention. Aroma of herbal, resinous hops and pale malt. The taste is green, herbal hops, pale malt, a bit of pine. Medium bodied, mildly crisp, mild lingering bitterness.

Pour is a clear yellow with a large white head. Aroma is fresh pine hops with maybe some mint in there. Flavor is again hops up front with a thick syrupy sweet malt. Kinda like a hopped up malt liquor. Finish is clean but leaves a decent hop on the tongue. Nice and hoppy for a lager but a little thick.

This was poured into a pilsener glass.
The appearance was a golden/bronzed color with a slight transparency about it. Light carbonation could be seen rising at a moderate pace. Messy foamy lacing clung around the glass.
The smell started off with sweet grassy leading into sticky sweet citrus notes. A light sweet malt glazes over some light bitter citrus rind.
The taste was sticky sweet with a decent underscore of bitter citrus rind balancing and gracing a nicely balanced citrusy aftertaste and semi-sticky sweet finish.
On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a nice sessionability about it. Carbonation rides really light on this one leading with a nice smooth yet somewhat creaminess on my tongue.
Overall, this was a pretty good India Pale lager that I could have again.

12fl.oz. can. Pours a clear golden orange with a medium, long lasting, off-white head that laces. Sweet fruity, hoppy aroma of grapefruit, tropical fruit and pine. Sweet flavour of grapefruit, tropical fruit, pine and caramel malt with a dry, bitter, grassy finish. Medium body with an oily texture and soft carbonation. Refreshing and very drinkable.

Poured into a taster showing neon yellow with a half a finger of clean white foam. The nose shows a lot of clean pine and citrus with moderate intensity. The palate is light bodied, smooth, and well carbonated. The first impression shows somewhat restrained but clean citrus with a constant malty lager note underneath. The finish shows the same citrus with a clean pilsner/lager bitterness. Overall what I expect to find in a clean IPL!

355 ml. can from Systembolaget. Deep golden colour with a thin, white head. Good looking. Fruity aroma with grasses, spicy hints, caramel malts, citrus and grape. Taste is bitter. Full body with an oily texture and a soft carbonation. Lasting dry and bitter finish with citrus fruits and pines. Excellent, big, fat Lager.

35,5cl can from Arve_Christian - thanks a lot! Pours clear deep golden with a white head. Fairly fruity and hoppy aroma with notes of tropical fruits, some pine, herbs, pale malt, caramel and hints of grass. Medium sweet with quite balanced hoppy flavours, medium bitter and surprisingly tasty and easy to drink. Usually not a huge fan of strong lager or IPL, but this one I enjoyed,
