Pours unclear amber no real head. Smell is bit sweet, not intense. Taste is very full, powerfull bitterness, rye, some fruity ( simcoe styled) hoppyness. Nice

Drought. Deep red color with small beige head, floral hops aroma, low carbonation, mocha-like flavor with sharp alcohol taste, long finish. Quite strong and interesting.

Bottle from Henderson Wines. Hazy amber body with tiny yeast flecks floating around. Thick off-white head. No visible carbonation. Excellent lacing. Gorgeous tropical fruit aroma with caramel and pine hints. Flavour of caramel, pepper, orange and mango. Medium body with an oily texture. Soft fizz. Hoppy with depth. An incredible beer.

Bottle shared by Dutchdrebus @ weekly tasting. Hazy orange color, medium sized white head. Smell and taste malts, hops, pine, lightly resin, a touch of alcohol, moderate to heavy bitter. Medium to full body, medium carbonation.

Bottle @ joes shared by me. Amber colour with no head. Smells hops, slightly barleywine, sweet, fruity. Tastes sweet, fruity, hops.. Pretty nice. Medium body, soft carbo.

Purchased at Bottles and Cans in Chicago, IL; enjoyed at home on a cold Friday night. Appearance is a very vibrant cloudy ruby gold with a rich white head that laces to the glass. Aroma of huge resin and citrus hop notes, rye malt, sweet, caramel, smell is potent. Taste is pretty great, goes down with equal parts rye and sweet with a pronounced piney hop finish. It hits all at once too, packs a punch up front. Really good stuff, not a big fan of rye ales but this one is great.

355 ml bottle from AEON Liquors @ Jiyugaoka. Pours nice amber and relatively clear for a rye ale. Head is not large and doesn’t stay long. Aroma has rich hop character, nicely balanced with fruity malt caramel notes. Can I feel some rye over there? Actually not in the nose - but in the taste yes. First sip is quite well balanced between hops and body. I guess it is body where the full roundness of rye caramel comes out the best. Hops are still quite strong and there is solid bitterness, some pine needles. Not too resinous though, bitterness feels quite dry. Aftertaste starts off fruity but ends by long and lingering bitterness. Excellent beer and doesn’t really feel "double" at all. Well, maybe a little :)

A well made DIPA, but I feel like I’ve tasted this one before, mainly because the rye doesn’t impart too much into this. I was expecting a really chewy spicy DIPA because of the rye, but its not as evident as in other ales, high gravity perhaps? I don’t know, but its still very good.

355ml bottle from beer hive. Dark amber pour, good, long lasting head. Spice nose, orange too. Might make a good Christmas beer! Very bitter finish, which overwhelms any rye subtleties. Nice beer though.
