A Unique Dry-Hopped Sweet Tart Sour Mash Ale. We soured the wort on the Hot Side with Lactobacillus for a few days and then brewed up this smooth and hoppy sour. It tastes like a big bowl of fruity candy or some chewable flavored vitamins, but what's the difference? It's sweet, tart, and sassy, just like the tasty cherry pie that your favorite aunt makes. For all the Aunt Sally's out there, You know who you are...

12oz bottle. I don’t know about this one, modern brewing all the way, you could call this a saison, white ipa, sour, whatever....just has those harsh unrefined yeast tones that don’t do it for me. Still pretty good, does have that sweet tart thing going on which is exemplified better in a lot other beers. Sort of oddly heavy for the style and moderate ABV. Brewed well enough I suppose, but not as good as I had hoped for.

On tap at Pete’s. It pours a clear golden color with a large white head. I didn’t look this one up before I ordered it, but it was pretty easy to figure out it was a sour mash/wort IPA. The aroma was hop forward with some notes of tropical fruit, dank and some fruit candies. Kinda sweet and fruity without much to hint at sourness. The flavor has a little lactic tartness with some passionfruit and pissy, grassy notes. A little caramel in the background and lots of hops. Low to moderate grassy bitterness in the finish. The tartness is pretty light, but you know right away it’s been kettle soured with lacto. No astringency, and it has a pleasant mouth feel. Decent stuff.
