A Unique Dry-Hopped Sweet Tart Sour Mash Ale. We soured the wort on the Hot Side with Lactobacillus for a few days and then brewed up this smooth and hoppy sour. It tastes like a big bowl of fruity candy or some chewable flavored vitamins, but what's the difference? It's sweet, tart, and sassy, just like the tasty cherry pie that your favorite aunt makes. For all the Aunt Sally's out there, You know who you are...

On tap at Elizabeth Station, pours a clear golden yellow with a small white head. Aroma brings out lots of lactic notes and light barnyard funkiness. Flavour is aggressive, with lots of lacto, barnyard funk, and loads of citrus. Rather acidic but not in a detracting way. Well-balanced. Really good.

Draft - Lots of soured lemon notes and some grass. Clear gold with a rich white head. Tons of sweet citrus, grapefruit, passion fruit and juicy hops. Lots of acidity, which if dialled back would have made this great.

On draught at Brave Horse Tavern. The beer pours a clear golden color with a medium white head that burns away steadily to a dense film. Sticky strings of lacing. Aroma of citrus, hops and malt. Light to medium body with flavors of tart citrus, melon, herbal hops and malt. The finish is mildly sour and hoppy with a grapefruit and apple aftertaste. Decent overall.

Pours clear gold into a shaker. Bright white head with good retention recedes leaving scant sheets. Sour citrus and tropical fruit aromas. Tart grapefruit - like real grapefruit upfront turning to mild marshmallow in the medium length finish.

12 ounce bottle into tulip glass, bottled on 3/10/2016. Pours crystal clear bright golden yellow color with a 1-2 finger dense and fluffy white head with good retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lingers. Nice dense soapy lacing clings around the glass. Aromas of tart lemon, lime, pineapple, grapefruit, peach, pear, orange peel, pine, cracker, bread, herbal, floral, grass, and yeast earthiness. Very nice aromas with good balance and complexity of citrus/pine hops, fruity yeast, and light-moderate pale malt notes; with good strength. Taste of tart lemon, lime, pineapple, grapefruit, peach, pear, orange peel, pine, cracker, bread, herbal, floral, grass, and yeast earthiness. Light-moderate pine/grassy bitterness and fruity/acidic tartness on the finish; with lingering notes of lemon, lime, pineapple, grapefruit, peach, pear, orange peel, pine, cracker, bread, herbal, floral, grass, and yeast earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Very nice complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/pine hops, fruity yeast, and light-moderate pale malt flavors; with a great malt/bitter/tartness balance and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Good amount of dryness from bitter/tartness as well. Medium carbonation and light-medium body; with a very smooth, crisp, moderately acidic/sticky, and lightly grainy/bready balanced mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is very well hidden with zero warming present after the finish. Overall this is a very nice sour mashed american pale ale. All around good complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/pine hops, fruity yeast, and light-moderate pale malt flavors; and very smooth and crisp to drink. A very enjoyable offering.
