Draught @ CBC. Pours black a small brown head, lacings. Aroma of roasted malt, coffee, caramel, dark chocolate, licorice. Flavor is rather sweet, malty, coffee, expresso, dark chocolate, licorice, some alcohol. Medium to full body, average carbonation, sweet finish with warming alcohol. 130516

CBC. Very dark brown with small beige head. Aroma is roasted malts, chocolate, coffee, liquroice, hop and espresso. Flavour is roasted malts, chocolate, coffee, liquorice, little salt liquorice, warming, sweet, vanilla and medium bitter.

Can - viscous black pour - nose of fig, raisin, chocolate, booze - flavor is a fair balance of roast, acidity, sweetness - chocolate, umami, anise - there is a bit too much booziness to the whole thing, sadly - fairly hot - but otherwise good.

Can from Wine Warehouse. Pours BLACK and thick - looks like used motor oil with a good-sized dark brown head. Aroma of chocolate, hay. Taste is smoked chocolates, dark and heavy. Oily and thick. This is tasty.
