12 Oz can poured. Weird to see duck a big beer in a little colorful can like this. Fun stuff. Pours black with a tan, cola fizz head. Boozy, malty, doughy aroma. Very smooth flavor here, coming a bit unexpected for one reason or another. Strong malt, sweet chocolate, and a late bite. Fun beer.

12 oz can from Tavour. Nose is chocolate, char, and coconut. Black with a medium heavy lacing cinnamon tan head. Flavor is lightly sweet, lightly bitter very dark chocolate, tasting better than it smells. It would make a great backpacking beer in cans and at 13% ABV.

Can thanks to Dirty Danny. It pours black with a thick tan head. The aroma is rich roasted malt, charred wood, cinder toffee, vanilla, chocolate cake, permanent marker pen and toasted coconut. The taste is smooth, rich, roasted malt, unctuous, charred wood, bit of burnt plastic, chocolate, solvent, permanent marker pen and dark fruits with a charred wood on the finish. Full body and moderate, foamy carbonation. A touch of solvent to it, which ain’t great, but overall it’s fair.

Can at Level 42, thanks to Dirty Dee, 27/07/16. Black with a decent tan cap. Nose is earthy malts, roasty tones, liqourice stick, dark fruit tones, molasses. Taste comprises earthy fruits, big molasses kiss, spice, chocolate, charr, dark fruit rinds, toffee fudge. Medium + bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with a black pepper conclusion. Ok impy but far from top drawer, a touch harsh in places.

Can shared in London - many thanks to Daniel. Pours black with a sturdy, brown head. Rich and rounded chocolate in the nose, with ripe berries, raisins, cherries. Medium sweet flavour with hearty roast, ash, alcohol. Medium to full bodied with lively, massaging carbonation. Warming finish, dry and ashy, with rich baking cocoa, dried fruits. Tasty beer.

12 oz. can purchased at Spruce Creek Provision. Pitch black in color. The nose is dark chocolate, vanilla, with a touch of star anise.
The flavor is very dry with the dark chocolate, anise burnt grain with just a light touch of smoke. The body is a tad lighter then I look for in the style. Texture mouthfeel is slick/ oily. Overall pretty nicely crafted.

12 ounce can into snifter; no can dating, Batch #001. Pours dense pitch black color with a 1-2 finger fairly dense dark brown head with good retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lingers. Nice spotty soapy lacing clings around the glass, with a light amount of streaming carbonation retaining the cap. Aromas of huge dark chocolate, cocoa, coffee, molasses, toasted dark bread, raisin, plum, cherry, fig, licorice, smoke, char, tobacco, leather, herbal, and roast/smokey earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of black/roast/bready malt and moderate fruity yeast/earthy hop notes; with great strength. Taste of huge dark chocolate, cocoa, coffee, molasses, toasted dark bread, raisin, plum, cherry, fig, licorice, smoke, char, tobacco, leather, herbal, and roast/smokey earthiness. Moderate herbal/spicy hop and roast/char bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of dark chocolate, cocoa, coffee, molasses, toasted dark bread, dark fruit, smoke, char, tobacco, leather, and roast/smokey earthiness on the finish for a while. Fantastic complexity, robustness, and balance of black/roast/bready malt and moderate fruity yeast/earthy hop flavors; with a nice malt/bitterness balance and no astringent hop/roast flavors after the finish. Light-moderate dryness from hop/roast/char bitterness, increasing through the glass. Medium carbonation and very full bodied; with a very creamy/slick and moderately stick/chalky balanced mouthfeel that is great. Alcohol is fairly well hidden with a small warmth lingering after the finish; with no booziness. Overall this is an outstanding imperial stout. All around awesome complexity, robustness, and balance of black/roast/bready malt and moderate fruity yeast/earthy hop flavors; very smooth and easy to sip on for the huge ABV. A highly enjoyable offering.

Haven’t been in stout mood much but the moment struck me. First off I hate the term On Fleek, second a 13% stout in a can is madness but I love it. Rich black pour sma head. Nose is roasted coffee ground and chocolate. Tastes of chocolate cake, coffee ground, earth, licorice. Not sweet just something nice.

Can. A- Molasses, tobacco, leather, char, chocolate. A- Black color, black liquid, brown head. T- Dark molasses, tobacco, charred wood, chocolate, medium bitterness, licorice. P- Full body, average texture, average carbonation, full finish. O- This RIS competes with the best of them and it comes in a can. Very traditional and very good. Reminds me a whole lot of Ten FIDY. Also one of the darkest pours I’ve seen. A really tasty beer even as I enjoyed it on a 103 degree day.
