Can shared by Couhkumura, cheers I wanted to try this. Insanely inky black with a rusty tan head and a rich aroma of heat, umami, soy, rich treacle and delicious aroma. Medium bodied and rich roasty bitter flavor. Savoury, dark chocolate, heat, red pepper and lots of dark chocolate. Delicious and drinks dangerously easily for the high ABV.

(350ml can shared @ VilleValla Pub, Linköping, Sep 19 2016) Pours a seriously viscous pitch black with a small pale brown head that fades without lace. Aroma of molasses, roasted malt, burnt wood, light smoke, fairly heavy soy/umami, dark fruit and grape juice, coffee and vanilla. Flavour is quite intensely bittersweet edging towards outright sweet, with a hefty molasses core, dark fruit, grape juice, dark chocolate, anise, light soy, burnt malt, a bit of vanilla. Bitterness coming through in the finish, light alcohol heat. Extremely full viscous body with soft carbonation. Feels really heavy to drink, even for 13%. A wide range of different stout characters present, a bit kitchen sink. Solid but half a can was plenty.

Can. A gift from Sean at Beer Central. Cheers! Very dark, cola brown. Thin, dense, lasting, lacing, tan head. Looks impy boss. Nose has fudgy, coffee malts. Very dark chocolate. Some woody char. Some stewed prunes. Hint of vanilla. Hint of booze. Taste is chewy, fruity sweet. Turns vinous, burnt wood bitter. Full body. Fairly smooth, although there’s plenty of warmth. Woody, turning earthy bitter finish. Still lots of sticky sweetness on the close. Tasty gear.

Level 42 Bottleshare. Can from Dan the Man. Opaque dark brown beer, good dark tan head. Palate is airy, mildly dry and has modest fine carbonation. Rich and soft dark malts, strong dark chocolate. Up front espresso with lesser cappucino. Spicy soft finish. Nice.

Pour is a motor oil black with a small tan head. Aroma is a char and chccolate malt with a big hit of alcohol. Flavor is roasted malt, chocolate, licorice and molasses. A lot of Impy stouts high the alcohol but this one does not. The booze is on full effect leaving a warming in the chest. If you can look past the harsh alcohol this is still a nice stout. Big roasted malt with some nice dark chocolate notes.

12 oz. can, pours black with a small tan head. Aroma brings out lots of oats, medium roast and alcohol. Flavour is intense, with loads of roasted malt, oats and light espresso. Light bitterness on the finish. The high ABV isn't completely noticeable, but it is there. Complex and well-rounded. Excellent.
