Big, overhyped imperial stouts, amirite? This one on fleek tho. The most amazing collaboration ever with Casita Cerveceria.

17.09.2017, 12 oz can @ home:
Nice brown slightly bubbly-creamy longlasting head. Aroma is slightly sweet roasted, dark malts, toast, toffee, nuts, chocolate, minerals, hay, salty caramel, coffee, grass, hints of licorice and lactose. Taste is slightly sweet sour-ish roasted, dark sugar, sour coffee, grass, hay, bark, hops, dark malts, toast, toffee, lactose, chocolate, roasted grain, burnt caramel. Medium to longlasting bitterness, slightly harsh sour-ish roasted mouthfeel. Nice enough.

Can from Bine & Vine. Pours dark brown with a very dark tan head. Aroma of treacle and chocolate. Med + body. Flavor has dark treacle, some coffee, a touch of chocolate. Smoky too. Something suggesting liquorice. Drier than expected; more earthy than bitter. Heat is detectable, if it's searched for. Good IS.

12 oz can. Pours pitch black with a dark brown head and good retention. Spotty lacing. Charred cocoa and licorice flavors slammed aside by a harsh booze finish. 13.0 ABV is in-your-face obnoxious. Shame, it could have been sooo much better. Maybe it’s better after your tongue goes numb??
