Human history is filled with myths and legends that shape and define our culture. Rituals, celebrations, gatherings.. whatever. One thing that’s for sure, is we enjoy a proper shindig. So let’s get the stories flowing and share a little ’Folklore’. A bracingly deep ale, built dark and rich with an elegantly lean body, accompanied by heady aromas of Belgian yeast, earthy hops and gently kissed by a wisp of smoke.

Tap at Watering Hole. On the heavy side, quite thick, lots of dark fruit. Almost porter like. Liquorice, lightly spicy, fruity, soy sauce, light smoke. Initial sweetness, but then fairly dry finish. Bit of cola about it. Pretty nice.

Dark brown to black colored, ruby hue, small tan head, only a ring. Aroma is malt, some chocolate and bit roasted malt, lots of dark fruit and some spicy Belgian yeast. Taste is medium sweet malt, brown sugar, bit caramel, milky chocolate, some roasted malt, very light smoke, some dark fruit, medium dark choco bitterness, some spicy Belgian yeast, dryish finish. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, creamy. Belgian yeast in stout is a turnoff usually but this one is quite nice! (bottle, Bierhalle Deconinck, Vichte)
