Inspired by the traditional rustic brews of Belgium, our iconic American farmhouse saison is charmingly complex but eminently drinkable.
Artfully spiced with coriander, ginger, orange peel and grains of paradise, its champagne-like effervescence leads to a crisp, dry finish, delighting discerning drinkers everywhere.
While delicious on its own, Hennepin pairs remarkably well with a variety of foods, complementing shellfish, barbecue, cheeses, charcuterie, and a wide range of spicy fare.

12 ounce bottle. Hazy auburn gold color. Firm frothy beige head. Earthy, yeasty grainy malt nose. Tart, sweet and refreshing. Notes of crusty bread, grassy hops and earthy malt. Some citrus fruit flavor, with notes of vanilla and spice. Crisp, dry finish. Excellent balance of malt and hops. Delicious.

A golden beer, a head is medium and white. Aroma has fruitness, orange, lemon, spicyness, fresh. Taste has fruitness, citrus, spicyness, some sourness. Medium bodied, nicely high carbonation but smoothly. Tasteful and refreshning.

On tap @ Fools Gold. This is a mild blurry looking goldenish colored one with a nice medium sized hefty lacing white head on the top. Smells nice with a slightly lemonic sour mild theme. Lime zest and some soft yeast. Blue grapes and pear also in here. Nice. It's sweeter in the taste than the aroma. Nice and oily on the texture and about average on the small prickling carbonation bubbles. Refreshing and saison typical in the taste. A bit on the sweeter side perhaps. More pear and melon, a little bit of hay. Soft white peppery tail. Good stuff. 20.06.2015

Bomber from Whole Foods, poured into tulip glass for a toast to my departed dad. Orange yellow with strong carbonation, yeasty nose, big white head. Full bodied with strong alcohol taste that tends to overpower other more subtle notes of orange peel and coriander. The finish is sweet malt.

Bottle from West Side. Pours a hazy gold with 2 fingers of pillowy foam that linger. Classic saison nose with light citrus, wheat and faint grass. Silky smooth body and mouthfeel. Lightly sweet, but with some peppery bitterness. Peppery finish with some light grassy hops. Way better than I expected. --- Beer merged from original tick of Hennepin on 16 Nov 2016 at 19:55 - Score: 8. Original review text: Classic saison nose. Silky smooth body and mouthfeel. Poured into a pilsner showing well filtered neon yellow with a finger of clean white foam. The nose shows a lot of bready malts and Belgian yeast influence. The palate is well carbonated and light bodied. Strong alcohol bite immediately becomes quite apparent and very unwelcome for this style. Flavors of strong Belgian yeasty notes with a light sweetness throughout and a complete lack of malt backbone.
