A truly authentic Belgian style wheat or "white" ale, this Rascal is unfiltered and cleverly spiced with coriander and Curacao orange peel producing a refreshingly classic ale.

Bottle at Cardinal. A hazy, yellow to golden beer with a small, white head. The aroma has a solid dose of orange. Slightly sourish pale malts and a pleasant spiced touch. Cloves more than coriander. The flavor has pale malts, orange peel, spices and a pleasant bitterness. Smooth, medium body. Fruity finish with some bitterness. A beer that does what it is supposed to, it slakes the thirst and it tastes good. 101113

A great beer for a late, warm summer night! 12 oz.Bottle. Pours a hazy light golden color with a medium sized foamy head. Nice aroma full of spice and grain. Flavor is also nice.. Wheat, spice, and a nice sour undertone. I really like this one. Great summer beer.

Enjoyed on draft at the Stone World Bistro. The reason why I chose this was that it was the lightest ABV beer available from the bar, but Iβm really glad I got it. Appearance is bright gold with creamy head, seriously looked like a creamsicle dessert. Aroma is very yeasty as a traditional wit should be. Taste somewhat creamy but crisp. This is possibly best wit Iβve had yet.

Coriander and marshmallow nose. Milky yellow with a greenish hue, thick white lacing head. Medium body. Tart lemon grass, malt. A brief mustiness appears at midpalate. Subdued coriander finish. Very harsh mouthfeel, overly carbonated. A pretty good wit, but the carbonation level is a problem and impossible to overlook.

12 fl. oz. bottle, courtesy of Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. ABV not mentioned on the label. Hazy straw coloured beer, big to low white head. Typical witbier aroma of coriander and Curacao orange peel, also notes of cloves. The flavour has moderate notes of coriander and cloves, but the usual witbier citric notes are not coming through as strongly as desired. Bland finish.

Draught. Cloudy pale yellow with the most minimal head. Pleasant complex aroma with bananas, lemon and spice. Light body, medium carbonation. Flavour is lemon, light malt sweetness, spice and bananas - well balanced. A decent white beer.

Appearance: Pours a very light yellow with just a touch of haze. Bubbly, pure white head that dissipates quickly. Aroma: Strong and wheaty with some citrus and spice notes. Flavor: At once tart and sweet, with hints of lemon, pepper and clove. Mouthfeel: The beer is highly carbonated, creating a very crisp and refreshing mouthfeel. A somewhat earthy aftertaste. Overall Impression: Overall, this is a solid example of the witbier style. A potent, lovely aroma gets the experience off to a good start, the nicely balanced flavors complement the aroma, and the energetic mouthfeel helps prolong the goodness. Comments: I picked up this bottle at the Whole Foods in Tribeca.
