A crisp yet distinct Pilsner brewed with German hops that bring vivid notes of floral and spice with citrus and lemon. This is truly brilliant, bringing nuanced complexity together with smooth, easy drinking.
“Prima!” it is an exclamation of pure joy heard from brewmasters and beer lovers near and far each time they enjoy one of our most adored beers. It is also how she got her name. Like any proud parent, we have crowned her as one of our favorites. We lavish her with hand-picked hops, only the finest ingredients and painstakingly work to balance her distinct and nuanced complexity with smooth, easy drinking.

330ml bottle. Pours yellow. Syrup, peach, very floral, something a touch metallic, lingering bitterness. It’s quite crisp and refreshing even with all that bitterness. Fine.

Clear yellow colour with thin soapy head. It’s a typical lager pilsener. Perhaps with slightly more pronounced hop notes. Fairly clean and fresh. Decent stuff.

Golden color with white head. Aroma is cereals, grainy, some earthy noble hops and a touch of citrus/lemongrass. Taste is more cereals and grain, grassy noble malts, very fresh. Dry finish. Silky, slightly watery mouthfeel. Pleasant and rather long aftertaste of lemongrass and earthy noble hops. A nice, clean and crisp Pilsner - not as hoppy or intense I would have hoped for, though.

Sampled from tap at ’Craft Beer Corner’. Clear, golden yellow with a large, frothy, almost stable, white head. Fruity-grassy, herbal-spicy aroma of lemongrass, ginger, pineapple and white pepper. Fruity-grassy, herbal-spicy taste of lemongrass, pineapple, ginger and white pepper, followed by a short, moderately grassy-bitter, herbal-spicy and dry finish. Almost medium-bodied, smooth and slightly effervescent mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Very nice!

2018 rerate: Draft at Craft Brewed. Pours a clear gold with a finger of foam that lingers. Light grain, grass, husks and lemon. Crisp and clean. Nice peppery hops. Excellent when fresh. 2016 old rating: Bottle from West Side. Pours a slightly hazy gold with a finger of foam that lingers. Light skunk on the nose. Clean and crisp malt with some light grain. Nice clover honey mid-palate. Finish is smooth and crisp with lemon. --- Beer merged from original tick of Victory Prima Pils on 13 Dec 2016 at 21:28 - Score: 7. 0.355l botte thanks to Cristobal37. Golden body with a thin white head. Aroma of bread, orange zest, honey and a decent amount of grassy hops. Taste of bread, grains, orange zest and grassy hops. Light medium bodied with soft carbonation. Very nice.

Bottle from O’Brien’s, Athlone [210316]
Golden blonde, clear, frothy white head
Aroma - soft floral, light sweet, hint of lemon, soft sweet floral hop, light nose
Taste of sweet pale malts, soft floral hop, spicy peppery, bit unusual for a lager, quite sweet malty
Palate - Soft carb, medium body, bit oily. Finish is slightly dry with a fairly bitter linger
Overall - Nice lager hops in this, more hoppy than usual for a lager, like it
