Mastri Birrai Umbri’s unfiltered Witbier is crafted in Italy according to the Cotta 21 recipe from a selection of the best Italian spelt and the finest malts. In appearance, it is golden and cloudy with a thick and white head. The rich aroma reveals hints of lemon blossom and summer fruit with spicy undertones. The delicate, smooth flavour of the spelt is accompanied by herbaceous notes from the hops which our master brewers have expertly selected for you.

Bottle. Cloudy golden color, with a medium white head. Aroma is wheaty, malt, some citrus. Taste has the same notes, with little but enough bitterness. Medium body and carbonation. Quite good.

bottiglia 75 cl, schiuma bianca grana medio/fine evanescente, colore giallo velato, al naso malto cereali miele frutta gialla, in bocca lievito cereali pane, carbonazione forte, lieve citrica e acidula, corpo leggero, watery, alcool ben nascosto, amaro leggero, secca nel finale. Non è male ma niente di speciale. Ricorda lontanamente una Saison. Si lascia bere. 26.10.18

Bottle. Pours clear yellow with small white head. Aroma is vague with malt, lemon and yeast. Taste is light sweet, light bitter and light to medium acidic. Body is oily with sparkling carbonation. Finish is medium long and mostly acidic with hints of chalk, yeast, malt and faint hints of ripe fruit.

Modest bleach white foam and a very yellow liquid. Soft yeast and horse hair aroma, burlap even. Flavour is strong yeast, some sourdough, barn funk and hay. Crisp finish. Not great, not bad, not awful, kinda "meh" I suppose. Will finish it.

500ml bottle (labelled as Umbri 19). 30th Oct 2017 at Chez Sophie with friends during the monthly beer exchange. Misty, pale gold, white topping. Not a lot going on really, light citrus notes within a very fizzy brew. Nice bottle and labeling, pity about the product.
