This was poured into a mug.
The appearance was a hazy burnt yellow golden color with a slowly dissipating white foamy head. Rimmed with a foamy ring of white lace.
The smell starts off with some fresh sweet grassiness. Subtle sweet pine. Witbier traits of sweet breadiness are deep down. Some black pepper comes out. Subtle lemon.
The flavor leans pretty heavy on the black pepper up front and bold. Normal witbier yeastiness hits somewhat sticky and leads to a sly wet crisp finish.
On the palate, this one sat about a light on the body with a pretty good sessionable crisp sticky feel to it.
Overall, decent beer for what it is. Seems to want to try and hide some of the witbier traits just a bit.

New Beer Distributors, NYC bottle: pours golden with a white head. Aroma is flowery, spicy, and a tad fruity. Taste is lightly spicy. Very bright And crisp. Very drinkable and super pleasant. Nice sweetness at the very end.

12 oz. bottle. It pours a mostly clear light orange color with a tall, foamy white head. The aroma is a lot like most of their other hoppy beers with big pine, peach and bubblegum only with a strong circus peanut and coriander spice. Very aromatic, but I’m not actually digging the messy, sweet "Belgian" character. The flavor is pretty much the same. There’s a decent IPA buried under all the weird coriander, bubblegum, menthol and pepper. It’s also a bit under attenuated like most of their hoppy beers which gives it a sweetness that doesn’t meld well with the Witbier yeast. Strong, piney bitter finish. I can see why some people might like this, but it won’t be a repeat purchase for me.

Bottle from Total Wine in Sacramento, CA. Pours gold with a creamy white head. Aroma suggests dank and is mixed fruit. Mostly citrus. Near med body. Flavor is very hoppy, has citrus/coriander, some yeast/spice. Rather earthy and Belgian.

12 ounce bottle into pint glass, bottled on 7/5/2016. Pours hazy golden yellow color with a 2 finger dense and rocky off white head with great retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lasts. Dense soapy lacing clings down the glass, with a moderate amount of streaming carbonation retaining the head. Fantastic appearance. Aromas of big grapefruit, tangerine, lemon, orange peel, pineapple, mango, papaya, pear, coriander, peppercorn, clove, pine, light banana/bubblegum, wheat, cracker, herbal, floral, grass, and yeast earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of citrus/tropical/pine hops, fruity/earthy yeast, spices, and light-moderate pale malt notes; with great strength. Taste of big grapefruit, tangerine, lemon, orange peel, pineapple, mango, papaya, pear, coriander, peppercorn, clove, light banana/bubblegum, wheat, cracker, herbal, floral, grass, and yeast earthiness. Good amount of yeast spiciness and pine/herbal/grassy bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of grapefruit, tangerine, lemon/orange peel, coriander, peppercorn, clove, pine, herbal, floral, grass, and yeast earthiness on the finish for a while. Damn nice complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/tropical/pine hops, fruity/earthy yeast, spices, and light-moderate pale malt flavors; with a great malt/bitter/spiciness balance, with no lingering hop astringency after the finish. Moderate dryness from bitter/spiciness as well, increasing through the glass. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth, sticky/resinous, and fairly creamy/grainy balanced mouthfeel that is great. Zero warming alcohol as expected of 6.3%. Overall this is an excellent Belgian white IPA! All around great complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/tropical/pine hops, fruity/earthy yeast, spices, and light-moderate pale malt flavors; very smooth and easy to drink. Very similar to Sumpin’ Wild, with added witbier spices and lighter body. A very enjoyable offering.

Cloudy yellow color topped by a large rocky white head. Perfumy malt nose is filled with tropical fruit and yeasty notes. A bit to dry for the style. Peppery notes in middle. Dry spicy hops bring up the rear. Citrus peel and vanilla.
