Bottles in various glasses and straight from the bottle. This has a nice balance of malt and hops when I donβt want a hoppy IPA. I also offer it to try to convert BMC drinkers who say they donβt like craft beer because it "all hoppy and bitter."

12 ounce bottle. Pours a bright amber gold color topped by a small creamy beige head. Light fresh grainy malt aroma. Crisp dry toasted malt flavor has grassy undertones and a light peppery hop presence. Very flavorful with a medium body and nice balance. Brief dry finish is pleasant and makes this a very drinkable lager.

12 ounce bottle into lager glass, best before 5/8/2013. Pours lightly hazy golden amber color with a 1-2 finger dense white head with great retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lingers. Spotty soapy lacing clings down the glass, with a moderate amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of pear, apple, grape, pepper, floral, grass, bread, cracker, honey, and herbal earthiness. Very nice aromas with good balance of hop, malt, and moderate ester notes; with good strength. Taste of bread, toast, cracker, pear, apple, pepper, floral, grass, light honey, and herbal earthiness. Lingering notes of light fruits, bread, toast, pepper, floral, honey, and herbal earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Fantastic balance of bready malt and spicy hop flavors; with light-moderate fruity ester notes and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Medium carbonation and body; with a smooth and crisp mouthfeel that is very nice. Alcohol is very well hidden with only a slight warming after the finish. Overall this is a highly excellent Dortmunder as expected. Great balance of hop and malt flavor; extremely smooth and crisp to drink. A highly enjoyable offering.

Into a pilsener, it poured a beautiful clear yellow color and gave a darker almost close to orange body. With a big beautiful white two inch head, a lot of nice spider web lacing left some rings around the pilsener. Some carbonation was seen rising, but ever so slowly. The smell was malty with some light corn in the background and a slight breadiness came out as well. The taste brought all of these elements back and gave a slight hoppiness to it. The palate was about a medium with a nice smooth aspect to it. Nothing felt bad on my tongue. Overall, Iβm impressed and would have this again.

On tap at Philadelphia Airport. Bright amber with a loose cream head; light, grassy, aroma; crisp, fruity malt flavours; then some dry floral hops, leading to a rather sweet end. Fresh and refreshing.
