Our Black Marlin Porter is the perfect beer for a mocha mashup. The addition of coffee and cocoa plays perfectly of the roasty, chocolaty flavors of this English porter, while a hint of vanilla smooths it all out. It’s full-bodied, but not too sweet; try it for breakfast...or dessert.

22oz bomber pours with a clear deep dark mahogany colored body that has thin dark ruby red edges and supports a tan head of foam. The aroma offers up dark roasted to burnt coffee notes rolling quickly into a pleasing chocolate sensation and malt balls. The taste delivers loads of dark roasted to charred coffee and a thick layer of chocolate goodness. It gets into a chocolate covered malt ball area toward the finish. Pretty nice with loads of chocolate and dark roasty flavor.

(Keg at Sori Taproom, 20180227) The beer poured black. Its head was medium sized and lightly brown. Aroma had coffee, dark chocolate and burnt malts. Palate was full bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were burnt malts, coffee, ash, sweetness and bitterness. Aftertaste had sweetness, burnt malts and bitterness. A tasty burnt brew with with coffee.

Svart med høyt lys brunt skum. Lukter kaffebønner, vanilje og kakaopulver. Fyldig. Smaker lett bitter kaffe, kakao, noe nøtter og salt lakris.

Bomber. Pours dark brown with a creamy tan head. Chocolate/coffee for aroma. Not exactly mocha tho. Med body or may a bit less. Flavor is chocolate and coffee with some reasonably roasty malt. Pretty dry; earthy; somewhat bitter. Good for a porter. Or maybe the body is Med +. Not sure how this morphs with time.
