Our Black Marlin Porter is the perfect beer for a mocha mashup. The addition of coffee and cocoa plays perfectly of the roasty, chocolaty flavors of this English porter, while a hint of vanilla smooths it all out. It’s full-bodied, but not too sweet; try it for breakfast...or dessert.

650mL bottle, pours black with a medium tan head. Aroma is loaded with dark chocolate and coffee, followed by a touch of vanilla and lactose. Flavour is decadent, with loads of deep dark chocolate, followed by moderate coffee. Light roast, with a hint of buried vanilla. Dark chocolate is the dominant flavour here. Really lovely stuff.

Bottled, from Systembolaget. Black with beige head. Coffee and licorice up front. Sweet with medium-full body and dense, rounded mouthfeel. Coffee and chocolate, some licorice and tobacco. Mid bitter finish. Straightforward and solid.

Flaska från SB. Tack Vignale. Riktigt gott.

Bomber into a snifter showing brown with lightly tanned foam lacing. The nose shows light notes of mocha and steel tank. The palate is well carbonated and light bodied. Perfect porter mouthfeel. Moderately intense flavors of mocha, coffee, and light caramel brightened out by the vanilla. Finish shows a light coffee bitterness and more coffee bean on the resurgence.
