Our Black Marlin Porter is the perfect beer for a mocha mashup. The addition of coffee and cocoa plays perfectly of the roasty, chocolaty flavors of this English porter, while a hint of vanilla smooths it all out. It’s full-bodied, but not too sweet; try it for breakfast...or dessert.

Bottle from Systembolaget. Almost black with a medium tan head. Aroma of coffee, dark malt and dark chocolate. The same in the taste. The body was medium and the finish on the dry side.

355ml Bottle - Very dark brown with red tinges and a tan head. Chocolate, coffee and some earthy notes in the aroma, a hint of fennel perhaps. Vanilla, chocolate, liquorice and some slightly soapy notes in the taste. The coffee is more evident in the aroma than in the taste, where the chocolatey notes are more noticeable.

0,33 flaske fra Systembolaget Malmø, på hytta nov-17: nesten kullsort med flott espressoskum. En ordentlig luksusfølelse fra første åndedrag og munnfull. Dette er et øl jeg må nyte i andektighet, fylt av moccabønner, deilig nybrent kaffe (a la Petro eller Arve), 80% sjokolader, hjemmelaget karamellsaus, og med en myk bitterhet. Saliggjørende.

Flaska från SB. Närmast svart, opak med krämigt brunbeiget skum. Doftar sött av toffee, choklad, mörkt socker och kaffe. Len och gräddig kropp. Oerhört lättdrucket, men samtidigt inte klen. Rostade toner, kaffe, kola, choklad, vanilj, välrostad kaffeböna med fin och bra beska. Bland de bättre kaffeöl jag druckigt. Riktigt gott.

Tap at Craft Brewed. Pours a clear brown to black with a small bit of beige head. Light chocolate milk, roasted malt on the nose. Roasty on the palate, cacao. Bottle at tasting. Aroma of mocha, malt, chocolate and caramel. Taste has filter coffee, mocha, caramel, mild licorice and chocolate. Solid.

From bomber to tulip glass. Powdered cocoa and a cold pressed coffee aroma. Pours deep brown with tan head that delicately fades to a ring and dusting across the top. Taste is also chalky, dusted cocoa. Racks near bone dry! An acidic dryness comes through with minimal bitterness.

Refrigerated brown bomber poured into a snifter. Black with medium beige head. Aroma is coffee, medium body, medium carbonation, and small-bubble lacing. Taste is coffee, chocolate, some spicy herbal hops, and roasted malt.
