Barrel-aged American sour ale fermented with cherries and almonds.
Montmaretto was was aged in neutral wine barrels where it undergoes a secondary fermentation with almond and a pound per gallon of cherries. The barrels were then blended until the perfect balance was struck.

Hazy with orange brown hues. No head. What am I smelling here? May have to read the description. Almonds? Huh. I don’t really get cherry at all in aroma. The flavor though, wel these guys sort of nailed it. Other than the tart flavors that basically ruin the perfect ameretto flavor, it’s a unique beer. I want to keep sipping more for the almond then it flees away

Refrigerated 0.5 L brown bottle poured into a schooner. Clear Amber with very little head. Aroma is nice cherry, medium body, lower carbonation, and little lacing. Taste is cherry, wood, some almond, and a little tart.

Cherry and light almond. I like this affect - but I’m a big amaretto fan. Hazy pink pour with ok head and lacing. Tangy finish. Some bretta. Tap at funk brewery.

Draft at the Funkatorium. Poured a ruby color with a small off-white head. Aroma was light cherries, touch of almonds, with a touch of vanilla. Flavor had almonds upfront then immediately a fruit character came in. Pretty tasty.
