We reward our adventurous kettle sour drinkers with this surprisingly satisfying combination. Expect a slight peppery, anise, savoury quality from the fresh ground basil with a refreshing, sharply dry fruity character of cranberry, rounded right out with the pink Himalayan salt and coriander from our core range gose we use as a base in this limited release.

Reviewed from notes.
Can to stange glass.
Appearance: copper to amber color with some clarity and a two finger white foamy head which dissipated nicely to leave some light lace
Aroma: cranberry tart and sweetness, lemon, lime zest, subtle mineral notes and faint grassy hops
Flavor: mirrors the prior noted aromas to tart to sweet sort of fashion; finishes cranberry & lemony
Texture: light to medium bodied, sessionable, light smoothness but also a little bit of a zippy tart aspect being assertive with the tongue
Overall: not much of a true gose (no lacto, no salt and no soured-wheat) and then where was the basil? I searched and searched and went through 2 other cans and came up empty there too. Odd, but to be honest, this wasn't bad but maybe they should just rename this to be "cranberry tart ale" I bet the ratings for this might be higher then.

Draft - Cranberry with a light touch of basil. Clear red with a small white head. Soured cranberry with basil in the finish. Brine is light as the acidity of cranberry buries it.

Draft at Craft Brewed. Pours a glowing, creamy looking neon pink with a small white head. Lots of cranberry and young strawberry in the nose. Crisp, clean and quite tart on the palate. Quite refreshing. Didn't get much basil, but nice slightly creamy character. Lingering berry tartness.
