An extremely rich and complex beer. The addition of raspberries during the fermentation process results in an almost purplish opaque color with a beautiful brown head. Warm chocolate and roasty notes compliment the hop bitterness.

Bottle at KØ14. Caramelly bread aroma. Black colour. Small off-white head. The flavour is sweetish with a mild raspberry finish. Both are rather distinct. A little too much alcohol, but not nice enough.

Bottle, 22oz. 2012 vintage. A pitch black beer, although with a faint brownish hue when the light enteres in the right angle. Finger-thick light beige head. The aroma is most definitely on the dark side, with molasses, roasted malts, licorice notes and a faint berry hint. Full-bodied, softly carbonated and slightly warming on the palate. Some raspberry in the very end, else it’s missing. I’d most definitely like the raspberries to be more evident, but it’s a nice imp stout anyway. A tad too dry maybe. 130813.
