An extremely rich and complex beer. The addition of raspberries during the fermentation process results in an almost purplish opaque color with a beautiful brown head. Warm chocolate and roasty notes compliment the hop bitterness.

Bottle 22fl.oz.Clear dark brown colour with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, light beige head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, roasted, burnt, chocolate, coffee. Flavour is moderate to heavy sweet and bitter with a long duration, raspberry, roasted, chocolate. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20130315]

Bottle @ Papsø. Pours a black color with a small off-white head. Has a roasted malty chocolate and caramel aroma with weak hints of raspberry. Roasted malty spicy bitter chocolate flavor with hints of raspberry. Has a roasted malty bitter raspberry chocolate finish.

at a tasting, thanks eyes_wide_shut and YK23, small stable beige head, quite clear very dark brown colour with burgundy red hues, aroma of raspberries, flowers, , pinee wood, light coffee, dark bread and some grassiness,flavour of charred wood, dark chocolateand a touch of soy with some fruity sweetness in the back, fruity sourness balancing the richness. Tap at Cincy Beerfest. Chocolate, coffee and herbal hops aroma. Near black with a large tan head. Ashy coffee, chocolate, and piney hops flavor. Full creamy body, light carbonation. I tasted this with a group and for some reason I was the only person who couldn’t taste raspberry. In fact, it tasted more like a really full bodied black IPA to me.
